I think I’ve just given up again. I’ve been in a centrist political group for a couple of weeks and I think I’m going to leave before my brain just implodes. You cannot have intelligent conversations with people because most people are just too stupid to live.
So here we go again! Continue reading Reality is a Bad Word
This crap pops up in the weirdest places. There was a discussion in a video game forum about winding up with more money than you know what to do with and a couple of whining idiots popped up and cried “why does that never happen in the real world?”
I’m writing this on Friday, right after Thanksgiving, as my brother-in-law and best friend, who came for dinner and stayed the night, have now returned home. After he got there, my friend called me to talk and let me know he made it home safely, as apparently, my brother-in-law, who drove up, drives like a maniac.
I ran across this today, where someone had posted the above question and I had an immediate reaction to it. Not that queer women (or anyone else) shouldn’t read science fiction, but what the hell difference does it make?
So I got called in for jury duty. Actually, that happened back in August, but I was going to be away during the time I was supposed to go in so I put it off until early November. I called last night, to see if I had to appear and I had to, so early this morning, I drove off to the Superior Court for what was ultimately a giant waste of my time.
Just another quick one, as I ran across it, but there are some people, quite a few in my opinion, who just have no business being in charge of anything. Ever. This is especially true of online public forums. We’ll get into the details below the fold, but if you can’t keep your personal opinions out of your moderation, sod off.
This is more of a rant, so if you don’t like that kind of thing, feel free to click away now. I won’t be mad.
I’ve noticed this a lot lately, and I’m sure it’s been going on for a while, but people will get online, say “I just bought this thing for this amount of money, how did I do?”
