This is more of a rant, so if you don’t like that kind of thing, feel free to click away now. I won’t be mad.
However, I’ve been seeing a ton of this lately and I am ever so sick of it. I mean YouTube channels who exist only to explain why they hate absolutely everything that they do, yet they keep on doing it. It’s rage-bait for the sake of rage-bait.
I’ve noticed this a lot lately, and I’m sure it’s been going on for a while, but people will get online, say “I just bought this thing for this amount of money, how did I do?”
Isn’t that a question you should have asked before you spent the money? I mean, are you really that dumb?
I know I ask that question a lot, but it never seems to get any better! When did the entire human species become knuckle-dragging morons, especially modern young people?
I know this has been somewhat of a theme lately, but it keeps coming up almost everywhere I go. This one is hardly even related, but it got me thinking and… here we are again!
Why is it that so many people to day have terrible expectations of reality? What was wrong with their home life that got them to where they are today?
I don’t usually watch videos like this, but it just came along and I gave it a view. It’s called “Why Do Bosses HATE Working with Gen Z?” and, as a boss myself, I have often had that very same experience myself. I will link the video down below the fold if you want to take a look yourself, but I just wanted to take a couple of minutes to talk about it.
I don’t talk about movies and TV shows much over here, that’s mostly something for my other blog, but I figured it fit here because of the reasons it bombed, of which there are a lot.
So, why do I think the director of Haunted Mansion has a lot of problems? The same reason I think a lot of Hollywood has a lot of problems.
I’ve been doing a lot of re-evaluating lately, especially the social media that I consume. I’ve always recognized that there were problems with the YouTube channels that I watched and the social media platforms I perused because most of them are very openly biased. They have views that aren’t especially honest. They are based, in one way or another, on what they really want to be true.
I had a conversation today that reminded me of another conversation that I had almost 20 years ago. Don’t worry, it’ll all make sense soon. The thing is, back in 2004, I thought this was an extreme reaction.
I think this will be generally quick, but it illustrates exactly the point that I’ve made so many times before. There was a discussion, where someone wanted to know who has had direct, first-person experience with some of the far-left talking points in the real world. I figure the whole point was to show how it was all just hearsay and not experience, but it devolved very quickly, especially once I jumped in.
So this is off the top of my head, although I’ve been thinking about it a fair bit, but I just had a discussion with someone over the era of modern streaming and the writer’s strike and lots of stuff like that. How did we get here? Where are things going?
