So I’ve been talking a fair bit about left-vs-right dynamics and, as people probably know, I am not really a fan of either, at least in the extremes. I don’t want the regressive left in charge, any more than I want the religious right. Both sides suck.

So this showed up on Reddit multiple times yesterday and the second it popped up, the second that I saw it, the wheels started to turn because what you see here, we see it in a lot of places these days entirely beyond religion.
I came across this video in my feed today and, once again, the fact that the far left and the far right are doing the exact same thing rears its ugly head. How these two groups can be so blinded by their own ideology as not to see it, I have no idea! 
So, some idiot showed up on a random subreddit with a bunch of test results proving that he was a hate-filled bigot. Yes, it was a troll, but I went back to the site that he was using to take these tests and decided to take a couple, just for fun./cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/69731297/106742083.0.jpg)
So I came across this video today over on Nerdrotic where they were showing a video of Bill Maher making fun of the woke leftist mob, comparing them to Mao’s Cultural Revolution. It’s a worthwhile watch, the video is below the fold, but the one thing that I wanted to point out is that all of this sounds an awful lot like something else we’re familiar with around here.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and frankly, I’m not at all convinced about some of the claims that we’re seeing. Recently, I heard that hate crimes were up year over year and they tried to blame Trump and the conservative right.
I was going to write a post on this anyhow, but it came up on a recent video in the comments and I wanted to explain my position in a way that’s really not amenable to YouTube commentary debates.
I don’t typically do Christmas posts. I have in the past, I’ve also done Christmas-themed videos, but how much can you really say about a holiday that never changes? Therefore, at least online, I pretty much ignore all holidays because I’ve said what I have to say.
It’s really hard to find a side in modern society that I want anything to do with. Every side of any size sucks and I want nothing to do with any of it, yet mostly, we’re expected to embrace the suckage and pick a side and I really refuse to do so.
