Now I’ll be honest up front that I am not a big fan of the Friendly Atheist, just like I’m not a big fan of most atheists who routinely mix liberal politics with their atheism and he’s among the worst. This isn’t really about him specifically though, he’s just a convenient segue. However, he put out a video talking about Candace Cameron Bure and… yeah, we have to talk about it because it’s another clear case where the left entirely ignore all of the things that their side does wrong.
I’m often critical of a lot of things that Matt Dillahunty says. Granted, I think he’s a skilled debater against a lot of religious topics and he deserves a fair bit of credit for that. Then, sadly, he leaves the reservation of reason when it comes to his social and philosophical views, which are not defensible, not evidence-based and not verifiable in any objective way.
Both of my wife’s parents died in 2022 and we’ve been spending most of our free time trying to unravel their financial dealings and getting their estate settled. It’s been one nightmare after another. However, when digging through the bills, we found one from ADT. They don’t have a security system. They have never had a security system. So what is it?
I don’t typically do Christmas posts. I have in the past, I’ve also done Christmas-themed videos, but how much can you really say about a holiday that never changes? Therefore, at least online, I pretty much ignore all holidays because I’ve said what I have to say.
However, Viced Rhino did a video on Christmas and there’s a lot of problems in it that I wanted to address. I think this is another case of only looking at things from your own side.
I’ve been posting a lot lately over on my other blog about the “gimme money” aspect of a lot of hobbyists and it goes beyond just collecting things. It seems like today, people can’t just collect things for the sake of collecting them, they have to do it to make a buck and that bugs me to no end.
It strikes me that much of this comes from the modern Millennial mindset because most of the people that I see pushing this thing in most hobbies, they tend to be very young.
My wife is a trained anthropologist so the second that the anthropology community got in an uproar over the new Netflix “documentary” Ancient Apocalypse, hosted by Graham Hancock, she insisted that we watch it.
It’s really hard to find a side in modern society that I want anything to do with. Every side of any size sucks and I want nothing to do with any of it, yet mostly, we’re expected to embrace the suckage and pick a side and I really refuse to do so.
I know I’ve said so before, but when your favorite celebrity kicks the bucket, it doesn’t mean the world is ending. I get really tired of people whining and moaning that “so-and-so is dead!”
Over on Reddit, someone posted a Christian who got upset that they came to an atheist subreddit, violated the rules, preached mindlessly and got banned. We see that all the time.
Unfortunately, we see the same thing happening in reverse, atheists who go to religious subreddits, make complete asses of themselves, get banned (and rightfully so) and then whine about it. I pointed that out and it’s a shame to see how idiotic a lot of atheists can be. Continue reading It’s Sad to Watch People be Dumb→
I run into this a lot and I have no clue what the hell is wrong with people today. Why do people spend so much of their time online desperately searching for personal validation from complete strangers?
