It’s not hard to see if you just bother to look, but on YouTube especially, there are people on both sides of the social divide that assert that the other side sucks, just because the other side doesn’t agree with their own unsupported assertions. They’re right, everyone else is wrong, so there!
Sorry, but you all suck. You need to come to intellectual conclusions and most of these people just don’t care. Continue reading Both Sides Suck!→
I keep running into this and I’ve been rolling my eyes so hard that I’m surprised they haven’t rolled right out of my head. I just keep seeing it in a lot of atheist videos I watch, where the atheist will criticize the religious for doing a thing, then turn right around and do that exact same thing with their own political beliefs.
I think I’ve just given up again. I’ve been in a centrist political group for a couple of weeks and I think I’m going to leave before my brain just implodes. You cannot have intelligent conversations with people because most people are just too stupid to live.
So I play No Man’s Sky a lot. Great game with a really rough beginning and now, it’s one of the best open world sci-fi games around. They’ve been doing some expedition replays for the month of December and while finishing one up this morning, shit started to hit the fan because someone named one of the common rocks in the game “Trump/Carlson 2024”.
I actually watch this guy, but this time, he’s just proven that politics is as much of a mind killer as religion is. This is a video that just came out from the channel Bridge the Divide, which yes, is a pretty decent channel most of the time, when he sticks to religion, yet he goes entirely off the rails here and proves that he, like a lot of hard-left atheists, are just hypocrites.
I ran across this today, where someone had posted the above question and I had an immediate reaction to it. Not that queer women (or anyone else) shouldn’t read science fiction, but what the hell difference does it make?
I’ve been doing a lot of re-evaluating lately, especially the social media that I consume. I’ve always recognized that there were problems with the YouTube channels that I watched and the social media platforms I perused because most of them are very openly biased. They have views that aren’t especially honest. They are based, in one way or another, on what they really want to be true.
Let’s do another political post. Not too long ago, Florida passed a law that restricted things like Drag Queen Story Time and recently, a judge ruled that it violated free speech and therefore it can’t be put into practice.
I have some questions about that though. Are they really concerned about free speech, or is this just an attempt at childhood indoctrination? Let’s talk about it. Continue reading Is It Free Speech?→
I wish I could say this didn’t happen every day, but it does. I was in a “centrist” group on social media, mostly because I am sick and tired of both the left and the right, and we were talking about how both extremes on the political spectrum were following the same playbook, just for different audiences.
Someone popped up and said “you don’t know what you’re talking about!” Really? Then why are my posts getting absurdly up-voted and yours are getting endlessly down-voted? I think you’ve got that backwards. Continue reading The Epitome of the Dunning-Kruger Effect→
So this shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone, but Joe Biden sucks. Have you looked around lately? Banks are failing, the stock market is a mess and confidence is at an all time low. Even the Democrats want someone else to run in 2024, justĀ two weeks into Biden’s official run.
