So I’ve been talking a fair bit about left-vs-right dynamics and, as people probably know, I am not really a fan of either, at least in the extremes. I don’t want the regressive left in charge, any more than I want the religious right. Both sides suck.
Here, though, is Douglas Murray explaining exactly what the far left is looking for, in it’s bizarre view of how society ought to be and why, it should never, ever be allowed. The video is below the fold. I’ll meet you there. Continue reading Why We Can’t Let the Left Win→
This is going to be a short one, but I was just thinking about it. Yesterday, I went to get my hair cut. Big deal, right? Anyhow, later on today, I’ve got a doctor appointment, it’s a complete waste of my time, but theĀ doctor wants to get paid so into the office I go.
Therefore, I’m getting a haircut, just because I need it anyhow and I can’t wait for the weekend. So what happens? Go below the fold to see the utter pointlessness of this post. Continue reading First World Problem… But…→
So I just got done watching a TimCast video, where formerly centrist Tim Pool has gone entirely right-wing lunatic. It was a video where they were talking about the recent Bud Light controversy, where Budweiser decided to cater to transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney and all kinds of shit hit the fan.
Fine, whatever. It was a poor choice on their part and their stock value crashed $5 billion dollars in a week. It’s not like I drink beer anyhow, I don’t care.
I try, at least, especially if it’s something that I need in the short term, but far too often, local stores just don’t have what I’m looking for. I’m not sure how they can expect me to keep the money in the community when these places can’t keep anything on the shelves.
So this is a question that has come up more than once, usually when the political extremes are accusing me of not fitting into their mold. No, I don’t, sorry. As far as I’ve always been concerned, ‘conservative’ and ‘liberal’ are political stances, they have nothing at all to do with the bizarre ideologies that infest the far left and the far right. Being conservative has nothing inherently to do with being religious and vice versa. There are a lot of very liberal Christians out there, just like there are a lot of very conservative atheists like me.
It’s really sad how many examples of this I can come up with, but Rationality Rules does it again. The video is linked below, it’s long, so you can watch it or not at your leisure, but it’s just one more place where you get a leftist who points at the Christian, accuses them of being wrong and then goes on to do the exact same thing on their own side.
So, another theist showed up on the channel and offered to debate, except overĀ the course of a couple of responses, I backed him into a corner and, at least at the moment, it appears that he’s fled.
That’s not exactly a surprise, is it? Therefore, let’s look at exactly what he did wrong and why, I figure, he knew that he couldn’t actually achieve his goals. Continue reading Back to Square One Once Again→
We’d been expecting it for a long time and frankly, it’s a relief that she’s gone. She was diagnosed with stage 3 inoperable cancer two and a half years ago, along with a host of other failures, and had been in bed in a home ever since. She was never going to recover.
So this showed up on Reddit multiple times yesterday and the second it popped up, the second that I saw it, the wheels started to turn because what you see here, we see it in a lot of places these days entirely beyond religion.
Yes, this is another case where the political left are doing the exact same thing as the religious right. Why is that not a surprise? Continue reading They Keep Making My Point→
I’ve been on a long-term search for any Christian or other religious apologist worth a damn and so far, my search has come up empty. Occasionally, I’ll see some atheist YouTuber say “I really like this apologist”, but when I look at them, they’re every bit as bad as the rest.
