Irrational Waste Bugs Me

I just dropped two cats off at my vet to get fixed. They’re a good vet and one of the few in my area that actually fixes animals. Most have just stopped, which is making the unwanted animal problem much worse, but they still do some things that bug me. It’s minor stuff, granted, but today, it really started to eat at me.

So let’s talk about it. Continue reading Irrational Waste Bugs Me

California is Stupid Once Again

California announced that all fast food workers are getting forced raises to a new minimum wage of $20 an hour. Immediately, McDonalds and Chipolte announced massive price increases across the board in California and places like Pizza Hut immediately laid off all of their delivery drivers.

Who didn’t see this one coming? All the idiots in Sacramento without brains. Continue reading California is Stupid Once Again

Atheists Aren’t That Bright Either

I know I shouldn’t be surprised, but someone on Reddit posted, complaining that somehow, “male atheists were driving away female atheists” and it’s all the fault of men.

I pointed out that there simply aren’t as many female atheists as there are male. That started a shit show, even though it is demonstrably true, because these people are idiots.

What else is new? Continue reading Atheists Aren’t That Bright Either

You’re Not Fooling Anyone

So I play No Man’s Sky a lot. Great game with a really rough beginning and now, it’s one of the best open world sci-fi games around. They’ve been doing some expedition replays for the month of December and while finishing one up this morning, shit started to hit the fan because someone named one of the common rocks in the game “Trump/Carlson 2024”.

The people whining about it need to grow the hell up! Continue reading You’re Not Fooling Anyone

What a Waste!

We’ve got a basket. Into it  goes all of the non-critical mail that isn’t junk that gets thrown away, but not stuff that we have to deal with right away. Once it starts to get full, I will go through the basket and file away everything that needs to get saved and then we start over again.

I realized, in doing so over the past couple of days, that there’s a ton of waste in that basket. Continue reading What a Waste!

More Left-Wing Hypocrisy!

I actually watch this guy, but this time, he’s just proven that politics is as much of a mind killer as religion is. This is a video that just came out from the channel Bridge the Divide, which yes, is a pretty decent channel most of the time, when he sticks to religion, yet he goes entirely off the rails here and proves that he, like a lot of hard-left atheists, are just hypocrites.

So let’s look at it. Continue reading More Left-Wing Hypocrisy!

It’s All About Responsibility

I’m writing this on Friday, right after Thanksgiving, as my brother-in-law and best friend, who came for dinner and stayed the night, have now returned home. After he got there, my friend called me to talk and let me know he made it home safely, as apparently, my brother-in-law, who drove up, drives like a maniac.

So it got around to talking about his money problems, especially the fact that, he’s blaming his bank for not taking the mortgage money on time, and by the time they do, he’s already spent it.

Yeah, that’s not a good way to live life. Continue reading It’s All About Responsibility

Why I Don’t Care About Ayaan Hirsi Ali

I wasn’t going to respond to this at all and I think that by the end of this, you’ll understand why. Recently, Ayaan Hirsi Ali came out and claimed that she was a Christian, not for any good reason, not that I think she believes any of it, but by playing the part, she thinks she can achieve some political goals.

That, my friends, is just idiotic. Continue reading Why I Don’t Care About Ayaan Hirsi Ali

The Future of Film

I caught a video today by Chris Stuckmann on the future of film, at least his take. Now while I disagree with… most of it, but I figure I ought to talk about it because I think it is important, especially to show that people like Chris, who are entirely fanatical about movies, don’t really represent the actual issues facing modern day cinema.

So, there will be a link to the video below the fold if you want to watch it, but let’s get at it. Continue reading The Future of Film
