Just so nobody gets the idea that I’m only picking on left-wing insanity and pointing out their hypocrisy, here comes an example from the right. Both extremes are identical and it’s time for them both to stop.

So, why are so many Republicans voting for policies and laws that are self-destructive? It’s the same damn question. Granted, neither side sees their positions as self-destructive, but they are to anyone looking in on the outside.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and he said that, at least according to a rumor, idiots in the GOP are thinking of going after contraception. That means that pretty much everyone but the terminally religiously delusional are going to abandon the party. How can they not? No woman is ever going to concede choosing family or career. If they’re sexually active, whether they’re married or not, they won’t be able to keep working because… hell, what if they get pregnant? Or for men, what are they going to do when they start knocking up their wives or girlfriends with no way to pay for the kids?

Now, for the religious lunatics, they don’t care. They want everyone to have as many kids as possible, so long as they’re “good Christian kids” and somehow, God will provide. Funny, that doesn’t actually happen in the real world, does it? It’s why religion tends to cater to the poor, because they’re the ones who are desperate for any solution they can find. How many of them stop being poor? Not many and certainly not at God’s behest.

So sure, Ron Howard left Hollywood, a very long time ago now, since his daughter is 42 and this happened when she was a kid. Good. Hollywood is a shit hole. Then again, so is the Bible belt. I don’t think anyone with a brain should live there either. The farther people get from the extremist idiots, the better!

Then he says that so many people have been indoctrinated to vote, think and live in certain ways. Well yes, look at the far right! That’s all that they’re  doing! That’s all that they want to do! They want to live under a Christian theocracy and they want you to have to do it too.

Hell no. That’s a stupid idea. I no more want a theocracy than I want to live in the socialist utopia that a lot of people on the left seen to dream of. Fuck you both!

I pick on both extremes equally. Both of them need to die. If there is a worthwhile answer, it’s somewhere in the middle and frankly, I don’t know how confident that I can find it. As I was also saying to my friend, I’m not at all comfortable voting in the next election because I don’t want EITHER side to win. I want them all to drop dead. I honestly want someone to drop an asteroid on Washington D.C. Nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.
