So this showed up on Reddit multiple times yesterday and the second it popped up, the second that I saw it, the wheels started to turn because what you see here, we see it in a lot of places these days entirely beyond religion.

Yes, this is another case where the political left are doing the exact same thing as the religious right. Why is that not a surprise?

First, of course, here’s the image in question. I’ll try to type out some of the relevant bits in case you can’t make it large enough to read.

It starts off by saying “we’ve noticed that you’ve stopped going to church”, followed by “we’ve been informed and understand that you have a living arrangement that is not Biblical and must be terminated immediately.” If the person in question fails to do so, the church will “withdraw fellowship”.

Well holy crap, isn’t that just left wing cancelling? Once again, they’re doing the same damn thing. “If you don’t do what we want you to do, if you don’t sign on to every article of faith that we have, then we’ll stop talking to you and we’ll do everything we can to ruin your life!”

Now I know that I’ve gone back to this a number of times in recent days, but for  good reason. Every time I bring this up to people on the left, they make excuses. “Oh, that’s just one example…” No, here’s another one. And another. And another. There’s no end to them. The second that you see the religious  doing anything really dumb, it won’t be long until you can identify the political left doing something incredibly similar on their end.

Now I might not say if the left wasn’t running around, screaming how evil everyone else is, while being absolutely evil themselves. They are just religion 2.0. That’s kind of a problem, wouldn’t you say? The farther to the extremes that you go, the worse it gets. It’s like the people in the middle got all of the brains and the people at the ends got all of the emotions and that’s not something the extremes ought to be proud of.

So anyhow, there’s your example for the day and as I find more of them, which honestly, isn’t at all hard, I’ll post them. These people need serious help, but most of all, I think, we need to hold a mirror up to their hypocrisy. It’s all the same position, just wearing different hats. Maybe they both need to knock it off.
