So, some idiot showed up on a random subreddit with a bunch of test results proving that he was a hate-filled bigot. Yes, it was a troll, but I went back to the site that he was using to take these tests and decided to take a couple, just for fun.
It only proved that so many of these online tests are such a waste of time because they are judged by an absurd standard.Normally, I’d take something like this to YouTube, but this is far more political than I do on my channel, so I’m doing it here. I’ll just get the questions and my responses and why I picked it and, ultimately, why the whole thing is a complete waste of time. So let’s get started.
Rather than take pictures of the questions, I’ll just post them and provide answers. If you want to see the originals, here’s the link to the quiz I’m taking.
It may sometimes be necessary for Western governments to detain or investigate non-Whites for actions that would not arouse suspicion if done by White people.
First off, I’m going to get this out of the way. Why in the hell do people capitalize random words? You can get away with Western, I suppose, but White? Knock it off. That’s not how proper grammar works.
That said though, I don’t agree. I think the government should be color blind. Everyone should. A crime is a crime no matter who commits it. Now, if someone reports a black person committed a crime, then they shouldn’t run around questioning others because that’s a waste of time and resources, but crimes don’t change because of the skin color of the culprit.
It is legitimate for Western countries to impose stricter immigration restrictions on people from non-White countries than they do for immigrants from White countries.
Nope. Now it can be legitimate to impose restrictions on countries engaged in terrorist acts or whatever, but that has nothing to do with the color of the people living there, it has to do with the actions imposed by the government and their people. This is stupid.
It is offensive to ask non-Whites if they can teach you sports that people of their race have traditionally been good at (e.g., if Black people can teach you basketball, if Asian people can teach you martial arts, etc.).
This is getting increasingly more stupid. If I want someone to teach me something, I’m going to go to someone advertising that they’re taking students. I won’t stop some random person on the street and ask them to do something for me.
That said, it asked about offense and I don’t care about offense, so I’m going middle of the road. Fuck your offense.
It is okay to portray non-White characters in TV shows as speaking poor and/or heavily accented English.
I don’t know, is it fine for white characters to speak with heavy Cockney accents? The reality is, people have accents. Show them as they are and stop getting pissed off about it. It’s fine to do that, so long as you’re not saying anything bad about the people in question. Accents are a thing.
It is okay to assume that the kitchens in restaurants owned by non-Whites are generally dirtier than the kitchens in restaurants owned by Whites.
Who does that? I don’t care who owns a restaurant. I care if it’s maintained to health codes. I don’t care if it’s owned by a black person or a white person, if it’s dirty, clean up your shit. I don’t pay the slightest bit of attention to skin color anyhow.
It is offensive to ask non-Whites “where they are really from.
I don’t ask anyone that because I don’t care. Okay, if you have a really heavy accent or something that I don’t recognize, I might ask if I’m having a conversation, but skin color doesn’t change that at all. I’ll ask a white person just as often as a black person. Who cares?
It is okay to portray non-Whites in Western movies in accordance with racial stereotypes (e.g., Arabs as prone to violence, Asians as non-assertive, etc.).
It depends on the circumstances. If you’re making a movie about 9/11 and talking about the suicide bombers… yes. You can’t generalize, but movies aren’t made about vast groups of people, they’re made about individuals. The skin color of the individuals is entirely irrelevant.
It’s okay to portray non-Whites in commercials as acting subserviently towards Whites.
Sure, just like it’s okay to portray whites in commercials as acting subservient to non-whites. That’s reality. For a long time, there was a movie trope about the chief of police being black and a lot of the detectives being white. I don’t really know where that came from but it certainly never bothered me. The black guy (or gal) was in charge and that’s how it was. So what?
It is offensive to suggest to non-Whites that they look like celebrities who share their ethnicity (e.g., that Asian people look like Bruce Lee, Black people look like Will Smith, etc.).
If they do, no. If not… who the hell cares? We’re back into offense territory and fuck your feelings. Not long ago, the guy who starred in Shang Chi, Simu Liu, got pissy because he was at a sporting event and the people who did the comedy jumbotron messages said some Asian guy looked like him. They knew he was at the game. It was a joke, yet he whined that it was racist.
Fuck that guy.
It is okay to assume that people mostly have friends that share their own ethnicity.
I don’t know ANYONE who has friends only, or even primarily, of their own ethnicity. I have black friends, Hispanic friends, tons of Asian friends, etc. So do most of the people I know. Granted, we all tend to run in the same social circles, which could explain it, but nobody I know gives a crap about skin color. It’s like, what the hell are you even smoking?
It’s okay to portray minorities in commercials as being bad at English.
If they are, then sure, just like you can portray white guys as being bad at Chinese. Who cares? Now, I love Asian actors like Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh and, like it or not, they’re not great at English. Their English is a hell of a lot better than my Mandarin, that’s for certain. Big deal.
Western history books should take care to stress the contributions of non-Whites to Western civilization.
No. History books should show history, no matter who was responsible. This is the crap that I’m talking about. There should be no Black History Month. There should just be history. You don’t go looking for historically-worthwhile black people, you just say “here’s history as it actually is, without any regard to skin color at all!”
It is okay to assume non-Whites live up to their racial stereotypes (e.g., Black people are good at sports, Asians are good at math, etc.).
Who cares? Hell, I know people that are nothing like their supposed stereotypes. I know someone who is black, he’s short, fat and has a bad heart. In fact, he just had a massive heart attack and only got out of the hospital a month or so ago. He couldn’t play basketball to save his life. I just don’t care.
I don’t really think minorities in the West were historically the target of racist actions.
Mostly, I don’t. Sure, there is still racism out there and some people have it rougher than others, but the simple fact is, it isn’t white people being racist toward black people, black people can be just as racist toward whites. It’s why the radical left has invented a new definition for racism, that if you don’t have “power”, whatever that means, you can’t be racist.
Bullshit. It’s complete bullshit.
It is offensive to suggest that all people of the same, non-White ethnicity look alike (i.e., that all Black people look alike, that all Asians look alike, etc.).
Have you ever been around real people? They don’t all look alike. Again, not offensive, just patently stupid.
It is offensive to tell non-Whites that “they speak English so well.”
Don’t care about your offense. Fuck off. I wouldn’t say that to anyone.
Racism in Western countries is mostly a thing of the past.
That’s kind of a sliding scale, isn’t it? Racism will never go away entirely because there will always be stupid people out there. Is it a hell of a lot better today? Absolutely. Do you need to have realistic expectations? Hell yes.
It is okay to make jokes about the food that is served in restaurants owned by non-Whites (e.g., lots of garlic in restaurants owned by Arabs, dog meat in Asian restaurants, etc.).
Unless you’re overseas, there is no dog meat in Asian restaurants. It is still undeniably true that if you go to places like Thailand and Vietnam, they do serve dog. So what? Again, this is not remotely aimed at me because I don’t think along those lines. I went into this knowing I wasn’t a racist. This is being made for dumb people.
It is okay to ask non-Whites if they know a friend, coworker, or classmate of yours who is of the same race as they are.
Who in the hell does that? That’s so far beyond anything I’ve ever seen that I don’t know how to respond to it. It’s like asking “is it okay to ask people if they eat rocks?”
White people have a duty to educate themselves on the racist actions of their forebears.
Nope. No more than black people do. I mean, seriously, this was one of the biggest problems with The Woman King, where they tried to turn a blatantly slave-selling African tribe into heroes and you couldn’t point out the actual historic reality without being called racist. Nobody has a duty to do anything. They just have to be decent people today.
Of course, it tells me that I’m racist because I’m not as racially terrified as the typically hard-left people who made the survey. They expect everyone to constantly think about race. I don’t. They think that everyone ought to be sorry for the past. I’m not. They think that everyone ought to constantly consider skin color in everyone they meet. I never do. Fuck that. This was a stupid quiz, as most of them are, because they don’t deal with any nuance. So… I’m not a racist, no matter what this stupid quiz says. No wonder the planet is so screwed up these days.
