Horror Show Sunday: Religion and Kiddy Porn

ROBERT-DAVID-WRIGHTPolice in Baltimore arrested 35-year old Robert David Wright, a Christian youth group leader who worked for Clynmalira United Methodist Church and charged him with possession and distribution of child pornography.  According to authorities, Wright “downloaded to his home computer thousands of pornographic images of female babies, toddlers, and prepubescent girls, including images of children being raped.”

Police have said that there is no evidence currently that any of the children pictured were members or attended Clynmalira United Methodist Church, nor that it appears that Wright was guilty of the actual abuse itself.  Rev. John Dailey, pastor of Clynmalira, said that he and the rest of the church take the allegations very seriously and that Clynmalira has a “Safe Sanctuary” policy in place, wherein no adult is permitted to be left alone with any child while on church grounds.

Seriously, it’s sad that’s even a thing, isn’t it?  The rampant sexual abuse in religion has brought us to this?  I’m not going to blame the church for this, at least they took precautions to avoid this kind of thing, but there’s only so much they can do when their employees are sitting at home fapping off to pictures of naked children.  Yet this is far from the first story of this type that I’ve done.  There seem to be an awful lot of child predators working for churches.  Why?  Access to children and an air of authority given to the religious leaders.  At least in this case, no children at the church were harmed, but who can say what the future might have held if Wright wasn’t taken down when he was.

Police have  forwarded the images taken from Wright’s computer to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which “serves as the clearinghouse nationally for information on missing and exploited children” and attempts to identify child pornography victims. Hopefully every sick  bastard that has harmed a child will be caught and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Once again we see the religious falling for sexual depravity and, if not directly harming, certainly participating in the harming of children. Every day is a dark day when the calendar  turns over to Horror Show Sunday.

    Well said

          1. I do care about it all and where it happens more should not matter and since the christians cover it up we will never know how many millions of children they have abused throughout the years

          2. Strange, I'm the one that cares and you just said you don't care.

I'm a Christian and care. You're an atheist and don't.

          3. I said I don't care where it's worse it's wrong all around and you are no christian so you can quit pretending to be. christians don't stalk, harass, and bully people online.

          4. I certainly hope you don't speak for all atheists, most might be more of a 'decent' sort.

And if it comes to child abuse why is it bad to defend the values that protect children?

          5. I am defending the kids and those worthless christian monsters molesting children need dealt with.

          6. You just said this:

"I don't care where it's worse at and the fact that you do shows your bigotry"

It's in this thread, people can see the context for themselves.

And all monsters need to be dealt with, unless you're suggesting atheist molesters deserve a pass, you don't hold that position do you?

          7. I did say that and you are twisting it to mean something it's not.

I don't care where it is worse the fact you condone it from you religion and trash other people who do it shows how fucking pathetic you are

          8. Then why don't you take that sentence and make some sense out of it.

I don't condone any child abuse. Ever, not by anyone. And that's why I don't ignore the abuse in states schools.

          9. I don't ignore it either, but you ignore it when your christians brothers are doing it

          10. Of course not.
I refuse to support any charity that has abuse tolerance.

But you seem to apply that standard to secular state run schools.

"I don't care where it's worse at and the fact that you do shows your bigotry"

          11. You just pretended I lied.

I do not support the people who abused kids and tried to hide behind the Christian church.
