Day two of Wondercon, still a lot of fun, but as we were trying to get from the parking lot to the shuttle, it was raining. Wait, did I say raining? I meant a full-blown monsoon. The rain was horizontal, the wind was so bad. What was worse, the bus drivers picked that time to take breaks so they left about 100 people standing exposed in the torrential rain while they sat in their empty busses for 15 minutes. Apparently, they’re not allowed by union rules to let people into their busses while they are on break.
So much for common sense. A good portion of the convention attendees spent the entire day drenched because of it. Thanks, idiot unions.
But that aside, the con was still great, finished up our purchases, saw a couple of panels, ended up leaving a bit early and buying a new car. All-in-all a pretty decent day.
