You know, I get really sick and tired of liberal stupidity. The idea that its nobody’s fault what happens to them and that everyone is a victim is utterly idiotic. In fact, I would go so far as to say that it’s the source of most of the nation’s problems right now.
I’m sure you’ve seen this among the liberals, especially with the poor. Oh no, it’s not their fault they’re poor! We can’t blame them for making bad decisions! Let’s coddle them and throw money at them so they don’t even have to try!
Of course it’s their fault! Whose fault could it be? Let’s take a look. They had free education available to them. Did they take advantage of it? No. Many of them, even most of them in some places, dropped out and most of the rest of them got bad grades because they didn’t even try. Who else can we blame for that? And for the females, who had a bunch of kids out of wedlock by a bunch of different guys, who can we blame for that? And the ones who got into gangs, got into drugs, got into prison, whose fault is that? How about the majority who have never held a serious job in their lives? Who have no work ethic? Who don’t even try? Who can we blame? If you said society or anyone but the individual involved, you’re wrong. The only one to blame for the actions or inactions of the individual is the individual. Now I’ll make exceptions for people who have something seriously wrong with them, there are people who are retarded or messed up through no fault of their own and can’t make those decisions, but I simply do not accept that people cannot make their lives better if they give it some effort.
See, way back in the day, we actually had standards in this country. People strove to rise to those standards. People cared what others thought of them and wanted to better themselves. There was an American dream. Today though, the idiot liberals decided that we can’t dare make anyone feel bad about being a lazy slob, we have to lower those standards, or do away with them entirely, to keep anyone from being perceived negatively. This had the side effect of dragging down people who otherwise would be doing better because they simply didn’t have to care.
This attitude has messed up this country to no end.
Here’s a clue for you people. You’re not a victim. Victims are entirely blameless in their problems. You’re not blameless, you’re the cause. You’re not a victim, you’re an idiot.
There was a time when we had a concept of shame. If you were out of work, you were ashamed. You felt bad. You tried to hide it. You knew everyone thought less of you because you weren’t pulling your own weight. You tried your hardest to find work so you could support yourself and your family because that was the expectation. Today, that’s all gone. Not only are the poor not trying to work, they’re proud of being on the public teat. They just don’t care. There’s no shame in it.
There ought to be.
One of the side effects of having no shame today is the sense of absurd entitlement that the poor overwhelmingly feel. Not only are they not pulling their weight and draining public funds, they want more! Why? Because they deserve it! They deserve all the things that people who actually work hard for a living do! They deserve good housing and big screen TVs and cars and damn it, we’d better give it to them!
Why?
The expectation ought to be that you get off your fat ass, go get a job and be responsible for yourself and your family. Sure, we have a social safety net to catch you when you fall and put you back on your feet, but it needs to be extremely limited. It keeps you alive for a short time until you can do better yourself. If you choose not to do better yourself, personally I don’t give a damn if you starve. It’s your choice. Either go work hard or die. Screw the asshole liberals who think we need to take care of the lazy.
There was a time when we had the American Dream. If you work hard enough, you can succeed. Today we have the American Entitlement. We’re fat and lazy, take care of us!
This is what liberalism has done to America. It’s pathetic.
