Bad Goings on at a Creationist Zoo

If you can’t trust the religious crazies, who can you trust?  Looks like the Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, near Bristol in England, has had their membership revoked due to repeated animal care offenses.  The British and Irish Association of Zoos (BIAZA) is investigating charges of animal cruelty and mismanagement of the private zoo which, in addition to having animals, pushes creationism.  The farm, which has been on the outs with the British Humanist Association, who stated in a news release that “The zoo, which advances creationism, seeks to discredit a wide variety of established scientific facts that challenge their religious views, such as radio carbon dating, the fossil record and the speed of light.”  According to reports, the BHA had nothing whatsoever to do with the current legal problems.

According to BIAZA and the Captive Animals Protection Society, the zoo has been charged with violations such as breeding rare animals for sale to circuses, failure to properly dispose of dead animals and other offenses.  There are recordings of the owner, Anthony Bush, describing how he mislead investigators and got away with criminal violations.

Honestly, can anyone say they’re surprised by this nonsense?
