Sabio, over on the Triangulations Blog, presented Rob Bell as an example of a relatively new type of liberal Christian theology called “emergent” Christianity.  This form, at least from the research that Sabio writes about, seems very liberally socially active, pluralistic and somewhat universalist, in that “truth” can be found in many different faiths.
