It’s that time again!
Yes, effective tomorrow, we’ll be at San Diego Comicon again. This year, due to some plans falling through at the last second, we’ll be there Thursday-Saturday and back home again on Sundayish. Anyone who read some of my rather fast con reports last year might figure you’re in for the same kind of thing this year, but you’d be wrong. I’ve been asked by some of my friends out of the area (and out of the country as well) to do more indepth reports on what’s actually going on, especially in the action figure realm. Therefore, I will attempt to do longer, more detailed reports with lots of pictures and all the fun stuff. It’s been a long time since I’ve done any serious convention reporting so we’ll see how it goes, but I’ll give it my best shot anyhow.
The plan is to post three reports every evening. The first will be the aforementioned action-figure-centric report. The second will be a general catch-all that will feature panels, strange stuff and anything else I deem interesting enough to record. The third will be a three-part look at the convention itself for people who have never been but are curious. I tried to do something on a much smaller scale last year, this will vastly expanded.
We tend to take a ton of pictures every year and will be uploading the lot, assuming that the hotel wifi isn’t too flaky, so that people can see a wide panorama of craziness. Look for the links in the actual reports.
For anyone entirely disinterested, check back again next Monday when we should be back to normal. Otherwise, let’s go on another wild tour of the most fun you can have with 130,000 of your closest friends.
